Exhibits & Activities

The Society's facility at Hebrew college includes a number of areas in which small exhibitions on Boston Jewish history are displayed. Larger exhibitions are shown elsewhere in the Boston area.

  • "From Haven to Home: 350 Years of Jewish Life in America", created by the Library of Congress and adapted for a national tour by the American Jewish Historical Society, the exhibit is presently being hosted by The Rocky Mountain Jewish Historical Society and the Beck Archives, Center for Judaica Studies and Penrose Library, University of Denver; The Mizel Museum and the Denver Public Library. The Adelson Family Foundation supports the Exhibition while in Denver..
  • The American Jewish Historical Society celebrates Israel's 60th anniversary with an exhibit documenting the Greater Boston Jewish Community's Support of Israel. The exhibit includes photographs, old documents, coins and medallions, as well as a late 19th Century model of Jerusalem, all selected from the Society's collections. he exhibit will be on display through the summer.
