The American Jewish Historical
Society
Digitizes its Historic Collections
The Boston Branch
of the American Jewish Historical Society has embarked on a project to
digitize all of its current and future collections in an effort to save
space, ensure preservation of documents, and to make research easier and
more accessible to the public. With a grant from the Trustees Under the
Will of Herman Dana to purchase the equipment and software, and a grant
from the Schilder Family Fund to hire part-time interns, the Society has,
over the last 8 months, scanned about one third of its present collections.
